Title: The socio-economic situation of the pineapple

Abstract

Pineapple cultivation is one of the tropical fruits, the most profitable with the greatest impact on the market and is one of the crops that best adapts to these environmental conditions. But in Mexico its production has decreased significantly, in Tabasco pineapple producers have been facing various problems that have worsened and reached worrying levels, the latter argue that the main cause of the crisis is the increase in production costs, abandonment to small and medium producers in technical advice, in support of field programs by the government, and the growth of imports of industrialized pineapple.
